Rebel Reviews - Battle Packs: Rebel Heroes
Hooray, more repacks! Just what the line needed, especially during the debut of a whole new line look. I kid of course, but sadly there's nothing funny about it. In fact our friends at Yakface are reporting that some of the brand new 2012 Star Wars stuff including the "new" Battle Packs are already being spotted on clearance at retail! Read on to see why figure selections like these are terrible for the line. It's not much of a secret, but read on anyway.

New Battle Packs revealed....yikes
Pictures of a couple interesting new Battle Packs that have been the subject of much anticipation since Toy Fair have finally been revealed. The included figures in both sets are all-new, but their limited articulation and pre-posed sculpts have already made them pretty unpopular among most collectors. Click here to head over to the POTF2.com forums where the pictures first showed up today and see for yourself!

"Who's Left?" 2012 - Revenge of the Sith
Our special report "Who's Left? 2012" continues this week with Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. The final installment in the Prequel Trilogy, it was released in 2005. Seven years later, over seventy-five characters still remain to be made into action figures, including several Jedi, a few Wookiees, over a dozen Galaxies Opera House patrons, and ten versions of Senator Amidala in various outfits from her extensive wardrobe. Here's our list of "Who's Left" from Revenge of the Sith. Click on the links to go to each character's Wookieepedia article and learn a little more about them. Some of them are pretty obscure! This list is unchanged since last year's report. |

Rebel Reviews - Class I Republic Assault Submarine with Scuba Clone Trooper
Even with the limits Hasbro has forced upon The Clone Wars line, there are still four mini-rigs coming out in 2012. The first of which, based on the season four premiere on Mon Calamari. Is this pack really worth all the hype it was given from the leaked pictures? Read on to find out!

2013 line look revealed
A report from our friends at Yakface has confirmed the green and black Yoda-themed line look for 2013. This confirms their rumor report from back in December. Click here to check out their unofficial reveal. Congrats to Yakface for uncovering this exciting intel!
New York Toy Fair - Image gallery at official site
While we may not be getting the official presentation, a great gallery of images of MOST items revealed at Toy Fair has been posted at the official Star Wars site. Click here to check it out (and prepare to drool if you haven't yet seen the upcoming Vintage offerings)!
Still absent from all reports so far are images of two new Battle Packs supposedly revealed at the show. One is Bespin themed and the other is Naboo themed. We'll let you know when we learn more!
Also absent from the gallery at the official site is the San Diego Comic Con exclusive Carbon Freezing Chamber action figure six-pack. For a closer look at that, check out the coverage from our friends at Jedi Temple Archives.

No Toy Fair presentation slides this year
This week fan sites have been trying to obtain the Hasbro Star Wars slideshow from the brand presentation at New York Toy Fair, which has been distributed in past years. But this year, we're not having much luck. Echo Base News contacted Hunter PR, and they confirmed that the brand presentations will not be made available this year. It's a disappointing development, since the reports we have heard suggest that they went through the live Star Wars brand presentation very quickly and some information might have been missed. We hope to learn more about what exactly has been revealed at New York Toy Fair and will definitely update soon with complete details!
In the mean time, click here to check out some great event coverage from our friends at Jedi Temple Archives!

Rebel Reviews - CW7: Commander Cody
The "new" The Clone Wars line is here! Unfortunately, there aren't very many figures that are actually new, and that sucks since it seems collectors of all ages were really starting to enjoy the quality stuff this line was bringing. Thankfully the new figures we are getting this year are very good for the most part. Commander Cody (now with Phase II armor!) is no exception. Read on and see if you need to add yet another version of Cody to your collection.

"Who's Left?" 2012 - Attack of the Clones (Special Guest Commentary)
Here’s the latest installment in our ongoing special report Who’s Left? 2012 where we’re taking a look at all of the characters that Hasbro hasn’t gotten to yet from the six movies. Earlier this week, we revisited the list we've compiled of over eighty-five unmade characters from Attack of the Clones! Now it’s time to take a look at some of the characters from that list that we’d like to see plastic first. Last year I was joined by Paul Harrison from Jedi Temple Archives, Dan Curto from Rebelscum, Jim Cole from Droids & Ewoks, Jayson Krebsbach from Yakface, and Pat Newell from Imperial Shipyards in this very special report. A year later and with no changes made to our original 2011 list, let's revisit their Episode II commentary. Enjoy!
