Echo Base Reviews - CW25 Ki-Adi-Mundi

It may be the Clone Wars, but there are plenty of Jedi figures to go around! Is Ki-Adi-Mundi worth an addition to the collection?

TCW25: Ki-Adi-Mundi
Articulation:
ball joint conehead, shoulders, elbows, knees; swivel wrists, waist and hips
Accessories:
lightsaber

Let's just start off by stating the obvious fact: he's light on accessories and articulation. And that stinks.

But Ki-Adi-Mundi is from my favorite arc from the series, the Landing on Point Rain four-parter. I have a soft spot for any figure from the line and if I weren't a completist anyway I would still have bought him. But it would have been begrudginly.

He doesn't have the ankles that every Jedi should have..and what he does have is alright. It's like...all of the articulation he has is good and needed, but it needs more. It's not quite enough. And that's going to be true for any Jedi released in the line. His sculpt is slightly bowlegged, but it doesn't really inhibit the way he can stand. One of his hands is sculpted in the Jedi Mind trick fingers and he can barely hold his lightsabers in both hands. One can hold it well, the other just doesn't work too well. And that's just bad.

Bottom line? He's like a half Jedi: half the articulation and half the accessories and half the fun that Jedi should have. Only buy him if you really feel a need to have every Jedi ever.
