Echo Base News will be at the San Jose Super Toy Show this weekend giving away prizes and spreading the word about the site! We'll also be selling some of the Lily Nyamwasa autographed Stass Allie photos and cards from the signing we recently completed to support her charity, ROAR (Rwandan Orphan Assistance Response). Also, Billy Dee Williams (aka Lando Calrissian) is the show's special guest this weekend, and as if that wasn't enough, there are hundreds of tables of toys! If you're a Bay Area Star Wars fan/collector, you won't want to miss this special event! The show starts tomorrow at 9am at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds. Lily Nyamwasa, the actress who played Stass Allie in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, will be signing Lucasfilm licensed photos for us this fall. A large portion of the proceeds raised in this signing will support her charity, ROAR (Rwandan Orphan Assistance Response). The rest will cover our expenses to bring you this very rare signing with the Australian actress. ROAR is aiming to raise $41,000 before the end of the year to build a water well at a Rwandan school, so they need our support!
